A Grateful Heart

As the days shorten and the temperatures plummet, I am ever reminded of the many things I have to be thankful for. The gift of time, to make art and explore interesting ideas is something I am especially grateful for. Having reached a certain age, I have been thinking more about the enduring wisdom of women, often unrecognized and certainly unsung. For an end-of-the-year post, I am posting a few details from my new series of work, Wisdom Cloaks, done in wool and cotton gauze cheescloth, now in progress.

Reading List:

Lavinia, by Ursula Le Guin; The Water Dancer, by Ta-Nehisi Coates (and wonderfully read in the audio version by Joe Morton.

Best wishes for a happy holiday season and a hopeful 2020…on to a new decade.
